how to search
Note that the "search our catalogue" form on the left side of the page only searches our online catalogue of toys and books. If you're looking for something else, please use this form:
Using the catalogue search
When you search our catalogue, we look for the words you enter in our catalogue descriptions and any reviews that have been written about the items we sell. The index we use for searching contains only lower-case letters, so numbers and special characters will be edited out of your search.
You can define what kind of search to perform by choosing one of "any," "all," or "exact," which provide increasingly restrictive kinds of comparison. Use "any" to see the largest number of results. These options work as follows:
- any - selecting this searches each term independently. For example, a search for "fun vibrators" will pull up all the items that mention "fun" AND all the ones that mention "vibrators"
- all - this options narrows your search by returning only items referring to ALL the search words. That search for "fun vibrators" will then bring up records that include both words, and will exclude any that mention "vibrators" but not "fun", and vice versa.
- exact - this is the strictest kind of search, and looks for the precise wording you specify. Keeping to our example ("fun vibrators"), you'd only get records that include both words, in order.
If you're having problems with too few or no results, please check the spelling of your terms. We are in the process of making the search more sophisticated, but at the moment the system doesn't check for many misspellings. Other things to try include using less restrictive options (such as matching on "any" terms) or providing fewer terms.
If your search returns too many items, try using less general terms: searching for "dildo" for instance, will bring up every dildo we carry, plus any items that have the word "dildo" in their descriptions or reviews. A good strategy would be to add a qualifying terms and setting the "all" option: searching for ALL of "big dildo" will produce very specific results.

The University of Ottawa's Couple Research Lab is looking for participants for their online study on same-sex couple relationships! This study aims to better understand personal and relationship factors that contribute to well being and distress in same-sex couples.
To be eligible, you must be 18 years old or more, have a good knowledge of English and be in a same-sex couple relationship for at least 12 months. In order to thank you for your participation, you will be entered in a draw for gift certificates to a music store.
