We here at Venus Envy are so very impressed with the new Vixskin from Vixen. No longer do we have to explain to people that silicone just can't be made that soft-Vixskin has put an end to all that and these products are flying off the shelves. The Tex is a natural shape and size-not too big, not too small. The colors, while not tremendously life-like, are close enough, especially if the lights are low. Besides, when something feels this real, who's checking out the color? Great for harness use too!

Vixskin is the result of a new process that produces toys with a firm core and a squishy exterior, making them quite realistic. More than that, the Vixskin toys feel softer, warmer, and more pliable than traditional silicone, something that a lot of people have requested. Got a Tex for my birthday to replace a similar (but non-Vixskin) Vixen dildo that had met an untimely end. The size and feel are great, but oh my is it sticky! Seriously: am I the only person who uses these for blow jobs? I CANNOT get the surface clean enough to put it in my mouth. It seems to be covered in a perpetual layer of hair and (in our house) fur.

I have the Spur and Mr Right from Vixen and in Vixskin. They tend to attract nasty flying particles indeed. So I just rub them with some cornstarch, to the point it disappears into the "skin" of the toy ; it's an old transman trick ;) It gets the substance to its best potential, as long as looking and feeling like real skin is concerned, and it also prevents the particles to stick around. This way, I can carry them harnessed to my body in my pants all day, and even my own fur doesn't stick on it :P

We own several silicon dildos, but this is the first time we purchased anything from the "realistic" pool of products.

The Tex dildo feels very realistic, particularly if warmed up to body temperature. The Vixskin material is impressive. Don't let the soft exterior fool you. The standard silicon interior keeps this dildo ideal for any type of play including vigorous harness and anal play.

The size is nice and the realistic details are kept to a reasonable level.
