Every Monday a percentage of our sales will be donated to community mutual aid requests
This will be a monthly donation via the Mutual Aid Mi'kma'ki working group, and we'll also be sharing mutual aid requests from community.
If you would like to send funds directly to mutual aid requests please check out Community Garden K'jipuktuk's most recent newsletter to connect with your community and build relationships.
We recognize that mutual aid is only a starting point and a more robust approach that challenges and changes the system is necessary for long term community care. Nonetheless, addressing real material and financial concerns can keep us all afloat as we navigate difficult times, especially our more vulnerable QTBIPOC and disabled community members. We encourage other local businesses to connect and participate, and brainstorm ways we can foster collective community care. If you are a local business that would like to be involved, please email nailah@venusenvy.ca
