Overview

One of my favourite definitions of vulnerability is that it is "the ability to be moved". In the face of rejection (which can come with any kind of relationship between people), how do we stay open? How do we stay hopeful about connection and acceptance after having been pushed away? How do we find the courage to risk "being moved" when it's easier to steel or hide ourselves?

Well, there is no simple answer, but what I'm sure of is that befriending rejection is part of it. In this workshop, we'll use tools and concepts from Emotional Intelligence to explore our relationship to rejection. We'll also use my recent tiny picture book "Monster" as a launching point for transforming that relationship as a life-long endeavour. Expect to do some reflection, writing/drawing, playing, selective sharing, and to be read to.
