How It Works

Most arousal products have a single active ingredient, Dame layers five for complex and nuanced sensation. Four of the five are natural vasodilators that carry warming and cooling sensations, and the fifth creates a buzzing, nerve-tingling effect. Applied topically to sensitive areas, they draw more blood into the tissue. More blood flow means more nerve sensitivity, so touch, vibration and pressure all register more intensely.

Massage 1 to 2 drops directly onto the clitoris or wherever you want more sensation. The warmth builds within seconds. Repeat as desired. Apply conservatively to start, since sensitivity is very individual.

As with any topical arousal product, first test on inner wrist to assure no allergic reaction. Then proceed with genital application, initially using just a quarter of the recommended amount. Arousal products are felt most intensely  on sensitive skin where nerve endings and blood vessels sit close to the surface (like the clitoris, glans of the penis, inner labia, anus). Tougher skin like hands and forearms has a thicker outer layer and barely registers it, which is also why the inner wrist is a good spot for a patch test.

This is a water-based formula, so it is safe to use with latex barriers and with silicone toys.

Ingredients

Water, propanediol, sweet almond oil, peppermint oil (terpene-free), rosemary, cinnamon, vitamin E, polyacrylate-13, polyisobutene, polysorbate 20, plant cellulose, sodium benzoate, prickly ash, ginger, potassium sorbate, sucralose (less than 1%), and natural flavours.

• Cinnamon is the primary source of heat and carries most of the initial spicy warmth.
• Ginger works more slowly and sits deeper, sustaining the warmth.
• Rosemary supports circulation and rounds out the herbal scent and flavour.
• Peppermint adds a cool counterpoint that keeps the warmth from becoming one-note. Dame uses a terpene-free peppermint oil, which removes the compounds most likely to irritate delicate skin.
• Prickly ash acts directly on the nerve endings to produce a fine buzzing tingle with a faint numbing edge, the same family of compound that makes Szechuan pepper fizz on your tongue.
