Bio: Sammi

Sammi Jessome is a queer, neurodivergent resident of Kjipuktuk (Halifax) with a passion for learning and connection. She currently works in human resources and has been in her role for eight years.

After spending most of her life navigating the mental health system in Nova Scotia, she made the decision to go back to school part-time to pursue a degree in counselling. Once she graduates, she intends to work as a counselling therapist with an eclectic, humanistic approach.

She received a diagnosis of vulvodynia in 2023, after dealing with the condition in private for most of her thirty-plus years. This workshop is the culmination of what she’s learned over the past twelve months, in hopes of building a community and empowering other folks who deal with vulvar pain.
