This is a 3-hour workshop (with a break half way through) that will include a brief review of basic safety / consent considerations, and the core practical skills shared in Learning the Ropes: 101
Prerequisites: Know how to tie a Single Column (the Somerville
Bowline, or any other non-collapsing Single Column tie), a Half Hitch, Reverse Tension, Extend your rope, and Bundle rope for storage.
The core skills we will be adding to your tying tool belt include (but are not limited to, depending on the pace of learning and time remaining) tying a:
Yuki Knot
No-Dome or "Munter Friction"
X-Friction
L-Friction
*Recommended to dress comfortably, and to bring what rope / safety shears you may have - but not necessary for participation (will have supplies onsite)
